WORLD CUP STARTS TOMORROW! I'm not a regular soccer fan, but I loooooove the World Cup and how the different cultural neighbourhoods across Toronto go crazy after their country wins a game. Yes, yes, and YES. That is why I love football (erm, soccer). And YES, I'm sick of calling it soccer, because FOR GOD'S SAKE, it is football.

I'm gonna be one of those people football (erm, soccer) fans hate and just cheer for whatever team tickles my fancy. I have a bias towards England, because the names of the players are more recognizable to me, and I actually went out and bought an England jersey from H&M a few weeks ago, but I'm not swearing my allegiance or anything. Brazil is another one of my favs (my sister got the Brazil jersey, so I might be able to borrow it).

Mayhap we will cheer at a British pub sometime soon! I'm keeping my options open!

P.S. What channels are showing it? So far, I've only seen it on OMNI.1 and it's in either Italian or Spanish. I don't have channel 33 anymore, so...?

BLASPHEMY! You can't hop on the bandwagon whenever you feel like it! (Except I totally don't care, ha.)

I was watching it on Sportsnet today (channel 32 over here) and there was a British commentator and everything. *swoon* Lydia says (the comment below me) it's on TSN (26) as well, but it wasn't on when I checked it this morning.

FYI Mar, they show it on TSN and Sportsnet on channel 26 and 32.

Thanks! I meant I don't have channel 32, which I used to watch soccer on all the time. I think between ABC, TSN, and random foreign-language channels, I'll be able to get my soccer fix!
