"it's me that gets tired of seeming to always complain about things"
^-- I feel like I'm always complaining to my friends, too, so I understand that guilt. :P

"not have enough positive things to say here"
^-- So set aside five minutes to make a post that's just a list of things that make you feel happy or grateful. :) Just as keeping the bad things stuck in your head is bad, keeping the good stuff locked away is just as harmful, I think!
Oh, wait, you did that in the last paragraph of the post. :D Excellent!

Your mom would drive me bananas. ;D

Losing $200/mo regularly sucks... that's a nice, hefty chunk of change. :( But having time to unwind when you have a stressful life is important, too!

Awww, that's so nice of the tenant company that sent the note! ♥ People tend to not be very rewarding about good things while harping about the bad, so it's always so nice to see praise. :D

UGH re: the cat litter dilemma and tracking stuff. >_O Ongoing battle ( ... )

Yeah, it really sucks to seem to only every have things to complain about or at least only think to talk about those things because they tend to dominate one's thoughts ( ... )

Haha, the only employer I've ever had that did anything like that was Terril, my accounting boss when I was a student worker. She was very "Mom" so she'd always insist on taking me out for my birthday, and she'd compliment me often. Other than that, though, I've gended to work very independently of supervision, and I'm too antisocial to buddy up to all of my coworkers, so I don't really receive comments or gesture of appreciation or anything like that. XD But since that means I also don't have to give them, it's all good. <3
