You feel that a South African movie about aliens in camps in South Africa reflected American treatment of natives?

I feel most people won't care much for the movie. It's not that deep, (Aliens have feelings too!), has superficial politics (all explosions are terrorism! Multinational companies are all evil!), and the ending is given away (catches rocket launcher) in the previews.

Add that the previews do not show the "documentary" style of footage that makes up more than half the fiklm and people are going to treat it as a great big "meh."

What is intended in the film, I don't know.

My observation is that the way the aliens are penned up, with no provisions or apparent attempts to learn much about their culture then moved at the convenience of the government is very close to the way many Native American peoples were treated here in the US.

It is a film that people will either hate or like. From your commentary, it appears that you did not much like the film :) I do agree that it is unlikely to be incredibly popular.
