Chapter Twelve
Gift

Pirath stepped out of the shower to see Pichaya eating something that looked like it should’ve been for dessert. He grabbed his towel and adjusted it.
“Pichaya, what are you eating? On top of that, where’d you get it?”
Once he finally gave him eye contact, he nodded and turned back to his meal. He felt even more irritated.
“Oh this? I found it on the table wrapped up. It’s really good!”
He got up and ran to get something. Because he finally got privacy, he grabbed his clothes and went back to the bathroom to change.

When he finished he came out with a decorated box with a shiny bow on top if it. He almost jumped because it surprised him.
“What the-“
“Here is yours, Mike!” he said in a sing-song voice.
Slowly he took the gift. He noticed that there was a card on it. He opened it and read the kanji that was slightly messed up but it was still readable.

He blinked. He went to where Pichaya had placed his own piece and carefully took the wrapping off of it as his brother kept eating his own. Once he got the wrapping off, he put it in the refrigerator for later.

After they arrived from dinner with NEWS, Pirath smiled.
That’s right, I have pie in the fridge, he happily thought as he went to fetch it. He decided to join his groaning brother on the bed to eat, how I should say, his just desserts. Once he got comfortable, Pichaya placed his head on his shoulder. Pirath popped open the box and the other turned green, if he wasn’t green enough.
“Ugh, do you have to eat that in front of me?” he asked him, he groaned for effect.
Pirath almost laughed out loud.
“If you didn’t pig out earlier, maybe you could’ve still have had it. And maybe you wouldn’t be sick.”
The other didn’t respond; instead he just groaned some more.
Yet another sweet victory for me, he thought as he took a fork full of peppermint pie to his mouth.
