Chapter Thirteen
A First
“To be trusted is a greater compliment then to be loved.” - George MacDonald, The Marquis of Lossie
Pirath sighed as he glanced at his brother; the day’s events replayed over and over. He couldn’t believe that his brother could be that angry.

The man, Yamashita, glared at him.
Earlier, Yamashita invited only Pirath to his apartment to give him private singing lessons.
“Why can’t I go?” Pichaya asked.
“You’re fine,” he responded. “Mike’s just got to practice a bit more.”
Pirath glanced at his brother then at Yamashita again. “Yeah, I’d rather have Pichaya there with m-“ He was interrupted when Yamashita pulled his arm. However, Pichaya grabbed for his brother and pulled away. Pirath whined at the sharp pain of the others, pulling his arm.
“What’s wrong, don’t trust him?”
Pichaya placed his own arms in front of the now surprised brother.
“Yes but I don’t trust you.”
Yamashita didn’t say anything, but he turned.
“Okay. Sorry,” he paused. “I’ll see you guys tomorrow then.”
With that he left the two confused brothers.

Pichaya cracked open his eyes and yawned.
“What’s wrong?”
He blinked and smiled, even though he couldn’t see it in the dark. Pirath didn’t even realize how long he stared at his brother. “Just remembering how cool you were today.” He responded.
He turned on his back and placed a hand on his forehead. He sighed.
“I don’t trust him. Just be careful not to be alone with that guy.”
Pirath nodded. “I will.” He too yawned and the two brothers went back to sleep.
