I apologize in advance. If it gets really cold within the next few days, it's my fault. I cooked supper. And I mean from scratch. OK. The chicken was precooked but the salad and side dish were not. Who is the artist?? I might have contact info for them.

:X It takes 7 months if they overloaded themselves and weren't smert enough to take a few (and literally just took as many commissions are people would hand them money. ) -- I made that mistake quite a time ago. OMG. The backlog was ridiculous. NEVER AGAIN.

But, it would be nice of them to update you once a month or something. o_O; Geez.

Nightengale Needles. http://www.furaffinity.net/user/nightengaleneedles/ I tried her tumblr, facebook, DA, etc. and nothing.

I'm totally thinking the same thing about the commission overload... but a "Hi, you're 11th in line now" would be nice.

She does have a commission queue tracker but it hasn't been updated since Sept. 28th. I posted a shout on FA, simply asking something like "any news on my hat?" type of thing. If she is/was ill, you'd think there would be a journal somewhere. Even just a blip on Facebook. Freaky.

Arg. I, unfortunately, do not know this artist.
It might be best to go the A_B route and just post a lost contact entry. You may find more leads or even rouse the artist's attention that way.

Well, yes and no. If I commission a drawing, I get those. See mrst1nkr in comments list here. She did my icon. :D So far, I've been screwed on that first god awful fursuit partial and now this hat. I have received various bits of artwork like con badges and illustrations as well as a couple fursuits and plush animals. So, yeah, my luck stinks, but not all the time. (Trying to stay positive.)

I hate dealing with artists like that.Either you get what you paid for after constant "nagging" or you have to write it off as a loss and move on.

I'll be doing more investigation... but yeah. I'm tempted to just get a refund and commission Wolfeh Works. She makes the same kind of hats but her queue was full at AC when I commissioned the other person for the hat. :S
