(no subject)
I apologize in advance. If it gets really cold within the next few days, it's my fault. I cooked supper. And I mean from scratch. OK. The chicken was precooked but the salad and side dish were not. Salad was cucumbers and carrots in a mint and OJ marinade. (Would be better in lemon juice.) I also made a variation of a recipe. Dad couldn't find couscous so he got orzo instead. I cooked that, added cinnamon, raisins and carrots. Is good. Recipe doesn't use enough cinnamon, though. Yes, I just sifted tons more into it as it cooked.
I am a bit flustered right now. I commissioned a person at AnthroCon in June 2012 to make a hat for me. I haven't heard anything since then. I've checked all the links/pages on her FA bio and nothing has been updated since 12.21.12 (I wonder if she was an Aztec). Not even her etsy shop. I got a quick message on my FA page asking me if I were attending a certain convention (no) and that's the last I have heard from her. Also, her "to do" list hasn't been updated since September. I don't know. I've tried to contact her through email and her FA page. I'm going to post a message on her FA page. If no answer, then I'm going to Artist Beware. It doesn't take seven months to make a hat.
Just took a quiz on facebook. It was how many albums do you have from this list of 100 "most" influential albums. Why the hell was XTC on it? They had ONE good song. There were several like that. Dexy's Midnight Runners??? Oh for God's sake! OK. Even though I don't like Lou Reed I can see why he is on there as well as several others that I don't like or own their albums. But you have to have more than ONE freakin' song! Jeez! I did 21/100. I could have done more if they had let me say that I don't have that particular album but I have the greatest hits. Last complaint, they have Capt. Beefheart (good!!) but not anything by Frank Zappa?? WTF?
