After I got the internet thing straightened out, I went to the pharmacy and picked up my prescription. Since I was down there, I went to Goodwill while I waited for my Chinese food take out. I found an original print (1976) B. Kliban book! OMG! I love his cartoons!! I also got an American Tourister ugly, powder blue travel bag from 1975. It still ( Read more... )

why can't I ever find anything in Goodwill and my friends always score cool stuff?

I would be willing to go with you to Columbus Zoo if you want (I know Columbus well) if I'm not at work and if you want company.

I would have to say, you don't go often enough. I'm at the one closest to me at the least once a month. It's near my pharmacy. Also, don't look for anything in particular. I've been wanting a side table for my bedroom and can't find one.

That would be great, actually, to go to the zoo. You're fun to hang out with. Maybe we can even go thrifting. :D

my aunt goes all the time and gets good stuff. I think my problem is a) I can not bear the smell of them (the mildew in most consignment places kills me) b) I currently live in such a poor area, I wouldn't want/need the cast offs

If I'm off, it's a date (ie, a weekend or the evenings since I'm often off early)

I have found good stuff in the Goodwill in downtown Huntington - I guess the richer people donate to that one. There is a GW over in Proctorville but it sucks. Never bought anything there but paperbacks. At the downtown one, I bought a brand new denim jacket, fully lined, from the GAP that still had tags on it. :) In the area where you are, you could find some good rags. :S

Great! I love critters but I promise to not crawl into the cages with them.

She made it out of a gourd - a vegetable! Amazing. She's also cheap. That was only $36 which included shipping.
