After I got the internet thing straightened out, I went to the pharmacy and picked up my prescription. Since I was down there, I went to Goodwill while I waited for my Chinese food take out. I found an original print (1976) B. Kliban book! OMG! I love his cartoons!! I also got an American Tourister ugly, powder blue travel bag from 1975. It still has all four pegs on the bottom, zippers all work and no rips, tears or discoloration. SCORE #2! Then I went through the DVDs and CDs. I found four CDs: Elvis, big bands, Henry Mancini (jazz/TV/movie music - he did the theme to "The Pink Panther") and Ed Van Fleet (new age/ relaxation stuff). All that for under $20. :) I love bargain hunting.
Tomorrow afternoon is rubber stamp club. I haven't been in a while so I feel obligated to go to this one. Also, I just want to see everyone. :) It should be fun. I hope that the women from the stamp supplies website will have some of the materials that are needed for the projects. I don't have some of the things. Imagine that - in this room that looks like a craft store exploded it guts all over it - I am missing some of the supplies. *Rolls eyes* Good gravy. I got paid this week so the money aspect isn't a problem. What is a problem is where am I gonna put all this crap?! ARGH!
I bought a statue. It was made by an artist I found on Fur Affinity. As we all know, I love animals but amphibians are one of my all time favorites. Here is a link to his picture:
http://gourdfrogs.blogspot.com/2012/07/gourd-toad-51-cerulean.html He is the size of a small bullfrog... for those of you who have played with the American frog species. Isn't that amazing? Here is her gallery -
http://www.furaffinity.net/user/art-fromthe-heart/ - simply amazing stuff! She is also very sweet. :) I am going try to get her to come to the Fairy Festival. She would sell out of stock. I know that.
Still having issues. I seem to have developed a dull ache. *Sigh* I hope that it will settle down on its own, without a doctors visit.
Last thing, I have requested time off for a vacation in September. I want to go to the Mothman Festival for one day. I asked for 9/13-9/20 off. I want to have one day to drive over to WV/OH area. Maybe visit the Columbus Zoo or something else on the 14th. The 15th would be Mothman Fest. Sunday, go to Hurricane and hang with those friends then go on to Huntington to be with the fam. for a while. Go to the art museum or whatever. I will drive home sometime. It won't use up all of my vacation time, though. I may see what I can get into later in the year. Maybe take a day here or there, go to the King of Prussia Mall near Philly, see Coonwulf or whatever.
