this whole area looks like that right now. I had to let students out of class b ecause all of Point Pleasant's lowlands were going under water

I imagine a lot of people have to own boats - even if it is just a canoe or dinghy - because of the flooding. How else can they get to and from their homes? I saw a place in Wayne where the family's yard would ALWAYS turn into a lake. They had a large parking area at the end of the long driveway... so they could park their cars and get into a row boat to get to the house. 8-S

i can believe that. And naturally being port cities, Point Pleasant and Gallipolis flood often.

Coming from the PIttsburgh area it's hardly unknown to me either. I still have this image in my head overhearing my aunt talking about one of those devastating floods in the 70's about her seeing a man floating away his face half torn away and filled with mud

Great God! That must have been horrible for your aunt and her boyfriend. Floods scare me. I'm afraid (phobic) of drowning and/or burning.

We had a trailer park near me flood out the same way a few years ago.I agree.It's not a nice thing to have happen.
