Intro chapter 1 chapter 2 chapter 3 December 5, 2012
‘You look better!’ Jay noticed. ‘Are the medicines working?’
Wooyoung grinned, not answering.
‘I take that as a yes.’ The shorter boy concluded to himself.
Wooyoung just shrugged as Jay’s head disappeared in the fridge.
‘Anyways, you’re leaving after Christmas?’ He caught the apple Jay threw at him.
‘Yeah, art of movement needs me.’ Jay answered as he closed the fridge, biting in a green apple.
Wooyoung looked at the apple in his hands, before taking a bite too. It tasted a bit sour, but good. Better that the medicines, but it wasn’t that hard to make things taste better than those crappy tasting medicines.
‘Ah, good morning…’ Junsu yawned as he walked in.
‘Hey sleeping beauty. It’s past 12 already, you know. So technically it’s noon.’ Jay answered with a grin.
‘Whatever….’ Junsu mumbled. ‘You weren’t at the press conference the whole time. Barging in like, an hour after it started, leaving before it ended.’ He continued.
Jay, who was chewing on a chunk of apple opened his mouth to protest but Junsu cut him off.
‘But still, thanks for being there.’ He said gratefully. ‘But close your mouth, we don’t have to see the insides.’
Jay closed his mouth, causing Wooyoung to laugh.
‘You should’ve seen your face hyung, you looked like a fish!’ He giggled, before coughing, hands on his stomach to ease the pain.
‘Wow, you allright?’ Junsu asked anxiously.
‘Yeah, yeah..’ Wooyoung answered. ‘Dry throat.’
Jay offered his water bottle to the younger man. Wooyoung accepted it, taking a few big gulps.
‘Thanks.’ He said, giving it back to the shorter man.
‘You’re welcome… Where are you going?’
Wooyoung turned around. ‘Room. Diary. Being hospitalized made me realize that life is short, you never know when it’s going to end. If something might happen to me, I at least want to share some thoughts with the world by keeping a diary. You should do so too. Give other people the opportunity to know how you really felt on the inside, while acting the way you did to the world outside.’
Nichkhun, who had just snuggled up to Jay from behind for fun, smiled.
‘I heard only half of it while walking in but sounds like a good idea.’
Wooyoungs grin grew wider. ‘Thanks.’ He said, before turning away, leaving the kitchen.
‘Was that really necessary?’ Jay asked.
‘Yeah, I just couldn’t resist.’
‘Then hug Wooyoung, your precious angang, not Jay’ Junsu said.
Wooyoung frowned. They really had developed a habit of saying weird stuff when he wasn’t around.
His footsteps echoed through the hall as he climbed the stairs, to where the voices of his friends weren’t longer hearable.
‘I’m sorry…’ He mumbled.

‘Is it me, or is it just hot in here?’
Wooyoung looked up from his diary, quickly closing it as his roommate approached.
‘That’s so lame.’ He grinned, locking the little book.
A grin splitted on Nichkhuns face too. ‘You’re right. It’s a lame pick up line indeed.’
Wooyoung raised an eyebrow. ‘People really use that as a pick up line? And you actually used it on me?’
Nichkhun shrugged. ‘Guess so.’
It was silent for a minute, before they looked at each other, bursting out into laughter. Wooyoung placed his hands on his hurting stomach as laughter refused to cease. Nichkhun looked at him with anxiety.
‘Hey, are you really okay?’ He asked carefully as Wooyoungs laughter had completely turned into coughing.
Wooyoung just nodded, making his way to the bathroom, closing the door behind him, leaving a very concerned Nichkhun.
Wooyoung bent over the sink, panting.
‘Shit..’ He mumbled as he discovered some blood spatters in the sink. He washed it away, taking a box of pills out of the little cupboard. He unlocked the door, to find Nichkhun standing there.
‘I thought you might needed this.’ The Thai man said, offering him a bottle of water. Wooyoung smiled, taking it on.
‘Thank you…’ He mumbled, taking one pill out of the strip in his hands, taking it in with the water from the bottle.
‘You’re really going to be okay?’ Nichkhun suddenly asked.
Wooyoung hesitated, but before he could react, Nichkhun pulled him into a tight hug.
‘I really can’t bear losing you forever…’ He whispered in Wooyoungs ear.
Wooyoung closed his eyes, laying his head to rest against Nichkhuns warm shoulder. A silent tear found his way from Wooyoungs eye to Nichkhuns shoulder.
‘You crying?’ Nichkhun asked, holding Wooyoungs shoulders as he pushed the younger boy a little bit away so he could look him in the eye.
Wooyoung shook his head. ‘Just sweating trough my eyes.’ He answered, causing Nichkhun to laugh.
He smiled a little too, turning his head away.
Nichkhun opened his mouth, trying to say something, but his phone interrupted him.
He let go of Wooyoung, searched for his phone in his pocket and turned away while holding it to his ear. ‘Yeah?’
Nichkhun, hesitated closing the door behind him. ‘You really don’t want to join us?’ He asked.
Wooyoung shook his head. ‘Nah, you go have fun with Jay. I’m a little tired, so I’ll sleep for a bit and do my Christmas shopping later.’
Nichkhun shrugged. ‘You do look a little pale indeed… Sweet dreams!’
‘You coming?’ Jay yelled from downstairs.
Wooyoung smiled. ‘You go have fun.’ He repeated, closing the door, leaving Nichkhun staring at the door that had just closed right in front of him. The Thai man turned around, running down the stairs.
‘What took you so long? Have you made your move on Wooyoung yet?’
Nichkhun turned red, shaking his head. ‘Don’t say it so bluntly!’ He complained.
Jay grinned, opening the front door. ‘Okay, I’ll quit. Where do you want to go first?’
Nichkhun shrugged. ‘Whatever shop you have in mind. I already know you’d drag me there first.’
Jay flashed an evil grin at him, dragging the younger boy with him. ‘Let’s go then!’
Wooyoung played with a strip of pain killers in his hands, staring at the wall with empty eyes. How could he ever tell them he stopped taking his medicines because they seemed to have no effect at all?
He held his head with two hands, pulling up his knees.
Though it was really hot in the room, he still felt cold all over his body.
‘Shit.’ He screamed, pouncing a fist in the floor, over and over again, till it started bleeding. He kept screaming for a while too, until his throat hurt.
He just sat there, defeated.
‘Woo~Youngie~!’ Nichkhun said happily as he walked in, bags full of stuff in his hands.
The younger boy didn’t even look up.
Nichkhun closed the door, dropping the bags in a corner of their shared room.
‘Wooyoung?’ He asked carefully, dropping down on one knee next to his beloved dongsaeng.
The boy finally looked up, eyes filled with tears.
‘Khun…’ He whispered, voice hoarse, as if he’d screamed a lot. No one would’ve noticed, since everybody had been out.
‘Is… everything allright?’
The younger boy had focused his stare on the ground again.
‘I’m afraid…’ He whispered, suddenly looking up.
‘Nichkhun, I’m so afraid, I don’t want to die!’
Nichkhun looked in the panicked eyes of his roommate, suddenly pulling him into a tight hug, for the second time that day.
‘Ssshh,, it’s gonna be allright..’ He shushed, patting Wooyoungs back. ‘How come you’re so cold? It’s really hot in the room!’
Wooyoung sniffed a little bit. ‘I’m not going to die, right?’
Nichkhun took Wooyoungs shoulders, looking him deep in the eyes. It was kind of dazzling.
‘No. You’re not going to die. You’re going to live a long and happy life… And I’ll always be by your side.’
Wooyoung tried to avoid Nichkhuns stare. ‘But what if?...’
He couldn’t finish his sentence, cut off by Nichkhun placing a finger over his mouth.
‘I know something that’ll make you better. I hope…’
Wooyoung tried opening his mouth again, trying to ask what, but before he could even say something Nichkhun leaned forward and placed his lips on Wooyoungs, kissing him softly.
