If you have a bowl of delicious tequila lime wings, do not forget about it and leave it on the counter within reach of a dog who will, over the course of an hour or two, shark into the kitchen in stealth mode, steal one wing, sneak it into his crate and eat it super-quietly before sneaking back for a second wing, etc. (Bo is fine, but we about had ( Read more... )

Oh boy, I hope you didn't have to take him to the Vet ER. I feel sorry though for y'alls floors and carpets over the next day or two. Just to let you, even elderly 12 year old dogs will do this too. Two months ago, our dog Morgan got snuck up behind my mom and got ahold of her ibpofeun, in which we had to take to the vet. Fortunately he was a okay too, but is reistance to any type of medicince that will make him vomit up things. Who doesn't say dogs are sneaky and know when they shouldn't be doing something ? I know studies have proved that dogs and some cats know when you are interested in food, and even if they have their own food in their own bowl that is the same or better than what the human eats, that they still prefer what the human is eating.

This is pretty much the bane of my existence with Floyd. He's nearly 15 years old, and you'd think he'd be less likely to stand up on his hind legs and steal things off the counter tops ... but nooooo...

Ollie would as well if he weren't so short, but at least I'm spared on that count.

Once the Ex and I each thought the other was gobbling down the fancy chocolates we'd bought. They were in one of the cabinets above the stove in the kitchen.

Turned out the two-year-old (two!) had figured out how to drag over the stool and a cardboard box to crawl up to the counter and open the cabinet, open the box, get a truffle or buttercream, close the box, climb down, and replace the stool and box where they were before to deflect suspicion. I finally caught her stealing the next to last one.

Several years later she continues to have an admirable attention span.
