LOL All very true if they are really bees. Yellow jackets, on the other hand, love trash cans and old cola syrup (or new cola syrup) and they get very aggressive at this time of the year, so I wouldn't count on the usual "If you leave them alone, they'll leave you alone" that I always throw at people who freak out over "bees". Not sure you even have yellow jackets out there, though; or, if you do, if it gets cold enough for them to get cranky before they die in the late fall. If they are just honey bees (not crossed with those nasty African things), then they probably will leave you alone.
We do have wasps out here - yellowjackets, and several others. I've been stung by both wasps and bees in my day, so I'm sadly aware of the differences. *g*
yellow jackets are actually small, yellow and black striped hornets. (Vespid family) Probably irrelevant if they sting you...they hurt like hell, though. Nasty little buggers.
