Dear Bees Buzzing Around the Trash Can By the Bus Stop:

I am glad you have not died of colony collapse or varroa mites, and are still in our gardens, pollinating our flowers - though as to that, I think it might be somewhat more helpful if you went and found some flowers, rather than jonesing after dried cola syrup. I am firmly of the opinion that if I sit here quietly and do not panic and flail or try to swat you, you will hold up your end of the bargain by not stinging me.

Still, it is mildly alarming when you insist on hovering quite so near my elbow.
