I remember during a grade school talent show these group of students dressed up as KISS and did a lip sync of one their songs. Their costumes and makeup were impressive and the kids loved it. Some parents objected to the group saying the band was a bad influence.
Fast forward to the early 2000's when a local pizzeria had a KISS party in honor of the upcoming show. I can't tell you how many kids I saw in that makeup..really amusing how times change.

That's so true. It's a cycle pop culture always go through. Just think, 10 years from now there will probably be ICP Coffehouses! Yipes!

Great post and pics, almost like being there! Hope you got to see 'em a few more times between '79 and '82.

Early '83, Creatures of the Night tour with Plasmatics opening? Arrrgh I'd kill to see that!

I've seen them many times since this show. I never saw them with The Plasmatics tho-they didn't open for KISS when they hit my town on that tour. I think it was Night Ranger that opened that show. I would've much rather seen The Plasmatics!
