Aren't I awesome? Maybe I have the flu. Or a cold. In any case I'm on drugs for both the flu and malaria and am feeling much better than I was two days ago. Unfortunately, my drugs supply runs out in two days so I might start feeling very off again.

Since Sarah has taken about 20 minutes to write a little over 100 words to LJ (yes, I was
that bored waiting that I satarted counting!), I have stolen my computer back with the
promise of actually writing words that will not be erased and rewritten 5 or more times.

An interesting place this Africa is. Yesterday I was offered a lecturing position at Solusi University in Zimbabwe (Zim to the locals). At least I think it was lecturing - it could have been that I would be in charge of their entire IT program.

Or lack thereof.

Today's food:
Breakfast: a health start of milk and week-bix. I am almost out of weet-bix and there is a milk shortage in Botswana (strange for a country with more cows that people) so this might have to change.

It appears that I am now working for the Seventh Day Adventist church on my decadent stipend that turns out to be somewhere around $1/hour. I'm also turning up the church on Sabbath and upholding the expected adventist moral code (a dry 4 months in Africa for me ( Read more... )
