I know I'm probably going to get bitched at for victim blaming, but who leaves the house without an inhaler when they've been having asthma attacks for the past 3 or 4 days? I mean, denying someone in an asthma attack an inhaler is an asshole thing to do, don't get me wrong....but as someone with asthma, if I were having an asthma attack a day for DAYS prior, I'd sure as hell have my inhaler, no matter how close to home I was.
Perhaps the writer of the article took some liberties, but considering they went out of their way to point out that her inhaler was at home and that they were buying one of the emergency ones (not even CLOSE to the same thing), I'm pretty sure she just forgot it.
Oh, now you're just reaching. All of my information was taken from this article and the others I've read about it. You don't already have enough people agreeing with you in this post and the sf_d one? :P
I also have asthma, or did you not read the rest of the comments?
I said it was a foolish mistake to leave her inhaler, can you really disagree with me? Mistakes aren't the be all-end all of the world like you people are blowing them up to be.
At the end of the day the entire purpose of that article is to say that the CVS was in the wrong which I clearly agree with, if you bothered to read.
People just HAVE to get offended about SOMETHING, today just happens to be me calling something what it is.
Actually, no, I'm not really into causing wank, unlike most of the people who replied. If you notice, most of my replies are clarifying my own words, and not really meant to exacerbate the drama. And I completely agree that every asthmatic's asthma is different, never said mine was the only one.
At the end of the day, people are getting up in arms for me saying that the lady made a foolish mistake to forget her inhaler at home. Really, I promise that my statement of that changes nothing in the world.
