The truly annoying thing about this is that I never received any bills at all, nor have any of my neighbors mentioned receiving any. I paid to join AARP last year and was under the impression that they had been paying a portion of my supplemental insurance.
(If you want Medicare Part D--the Prescription Plan--in my state, you MUST have Medicare Part A, Medicare Part B AND supplemental insurance. It will probably not surprise anyone to learn that much of my Social Security Disability, which is what I live on, is devoted simply to paying for various forms of insurance, a second mortgage and credit card debt which are both related to a disabling illness about six years back, and pharmacy bills.)
I hate when people treat elderly that can't defend themselves badly :(
