Okay, I know this is late and nearly everyone else has already had a go at this, but that seems to be how I’ve handled most fandom-related things and it hasn’t worked out too badly, so why stop now? I’ve had a chance to rewatch it and type this up, plus I think I’ve gone through most stages of grief by now (albeit in no particular order, and I am ( Read more... )

i dunno where im even gonna start the comment. guess ill start witht the fma thing. id figure the master to be greed more than anything. or maybe wrath. either or. the whole clone thing with spidey has been over and done with for at least a decade now. so marvel isnt going to add anything new. otherwise you have things on the ball. although yes naismith and his daughter were a little too cozy. but keep your mind out of the gutter.

Eh, just do what I did- start at the beginning and work your way through in order like it's dvd commentary. Wouldn't have gotten in all the points I wanted to or be anywhere near as coherent if I hadn't done it that way.

Also, which versions of Greed & Wrath are you talking about here, first-anime-only-versions, or second-anime/manga-versions (and by extension, original!Greed or Ling!Greed)? They're quite different, so I can't tell you if/how much I disagree yet.

...Have you not heard of the utter shitstorm Marvel caused with the whole 'One More Day'/'Brand New Day' thing? If they're willing to retcon out Peter and MJ's entire marriage, re-visiting the Clone Saga someday isn't really out of the question. Besides, they did a version of it in Ultimate Spider-Man within the last couple years too and kinda combined it with Venom & Carnage's storylines.

My mind is [mostly] out of the gutter for this episode! Probably because most of the gutter-worthy things here that aren't the-Master-in-bondage fall under 'do not want ever' for me ( ... )

i meant the original greed. ling-greed has a few schizo problems to work out. although this one could have that problem too. as far as wrath i definitely mean fuhrer bradley wrath. and im caught up on the new fma episodes. things are becoming a little bit more clearer. Now know why the guy all the homunculi call dad looks like hohenheim. there are too many h's in that name...

Ah, see, as far as Greed and Wrath go, I'd say he'd be more like the opposite versions than you picked. Ling agreed to become a homunculus so he could gain immortality and take over the universe get in good with the emperor of Xing, which is pretty much what the Master does with Gallifrey & Rassilon in Part Two- 'hey, I brought you guys back from the dead, so are we cool now?' (also: voice in head = sound of drums) Original!Greed pretty much just wanted to hang out with his friends in their bar. True, he'd have liked everyone to be his friend and the whole world to be his bar, but still. And this incarnation of the Master seems more like upset-kid!Wrath to me as opposed to the Fuhrer's 'sinister grandpa/honorable swordsman' version. Maybe past Masters might've had that going, but the current one... not so much.

And I've seen people refer to Hohenheim as 'Hoho-papa' before, so you could use that for short?
