Deer hunting with a bow opened last week. I have been out a little, but so far have only tested my rain gear. It works very well. What looked like a great weather forecast for this week-end is getting worse every day. I guess I'll test the rain gear again :-)

Most of this past week-end was really good. We drove out to the finger lakes on Friday "Watgins Glen" and stayed at Seneca Lodge. On Saturday we got up at 7:00, had breakfast at 9:00 and started touring the wineries at 10:00. The day was great, good food, wine and friends ( Read more... )

This week-end was great, I had to get a new Bow, since I passed mine down to Jon who outgrew his. I hadn't shot in 1 1/2 years since I hurt my shoulder, so I wasn't sure how things would go ( Read more... )

In Line Roller hockey started this week-end and my 10 year old daughter played for the first time. She did really good, she has been skating since she could walk, so that was easy for her, she needs to work on her puck handling. She had one assist and on penalty for checking, she is a bully ( Read more... )

It has been so busy lately that I have nt been able to write anything in a while. I am on a new project which has been eating up a lot of time and I am closing out some items from the project I just turned over. Plus I have to get ready for hunting season ( Read more... )

I am so close to finishing the kitchen. I have all the old floor scraped, the old glue scraped, new layer of wood laid down and secured, all areas leveled and sanded, a new coating on the wood, floor vents re-sized to standard vent sizes. Tonight the tiles, then it is officially hunting season. I can't wait.

It was a long week-end, but most of it was spent working on the kitchen floor. I tore up three layers of old floor, than I used a sharpened ice scraper to scrape up, even out, the glue on the old floor boards, than I laid a new wood cover over the old floor, now I have to nail that down. Well, I have created a monster in myself. Last night a rebuilt the shelf under the sink that was messed up by old water leaks. I put in cross braces under the shelf to increase the weight that it would hold and had all the cut outs just in the right spots for the pipes and wires ( Read more... )
