Most of this past week-end was really good. We drove out to the finger lakes on Friday "Watgins Glen" and stayed at Seneca Lodge. On Saturday we got up at 7:00, had breakfast at 9:00 and started touring the wineries at 10:00. The day was great, good food, wine and friends.
Just as we were getting to bed, we got a call on the cell phone ... NOTE TO SELF Publishers Clearing House will NEVER call you after midnight, it is always bad news. My one niece called to have us get her parents who were out with us, because the paramedics were working on my other niece (15) who was left outdoors on a lawn (40 degree range that night and rain) for an unknown period of time. She had hypothermia and alcohol poisoning. She is doing OK now, but it was a very scary ride to the hospital. Her blood alcohol level was a .24 and the kicker, is her older brother took her to the party where the alcohol was served. Good friends too, leaving her passed out in the cold.
