whedonland's writing challenges have been getting me back into the fanfiction in a big way. not as big a way as my first real full-length fanfic (a crossover, at that!) that's in the editing stages right now (i'm super, super excited about that, btw), but when team buffy needs points, i come a-writing. here are three samples of the writing i've done for ( Read more... )

AH! That Spike/Willow was fabulous!! I have to admit (rather guiltily) that I do... kind of ship them, and most definitely enjoy their friendship. In a 'this is never going to happen but if it did, YAY' kind of way. haha. XD And lovely ending. ^_^ I loved the way you made Spike into the observer, the one in the background, the outsider, while still connecting him to them. I don't know if I'm making sense... It's very late, haha.

The Willow/Tara voicing was fabulous, and the idea to use magic as a weapon, that seems almost... I don't know, like the perfect contradiction: both peaceful and pacifist, and strong and powerful and beautiful all at once. Loved the: When she chants, she doesn't stutter. When she holds Willow's hands, they can save the world. That's just so simple and amazing. Well done, you! haha.

OH, and I never really read people's poetry and stuff (for no particular reason, other than I just don't) but this River one was so lovely. I especially loved the They sang as they cut. Totally haunting ( ... )

haha, you should have seen me trying to explain how much spike liked willow after the first time i saw "the yoko factor." i kept pointing out that moment when he prepares him breathing to make it seem like he was exhausted from running from the initiative and going "look! he doesn't want to hurt her! he has angst!" i mean i've never shipped them, but i always liked the idea of willow and spike as friends, especially in season 4.

Ugh. Apologies for the ramblings.

as far as captions go, i assume this is for whedonland, so you'll need a "Team Buffy"- but do you want your username or your real name on it?

I really like all of these! I've never seen Buffy, so the first two probly made less sense to me than they would otherwise, but still. Well done!

aw, thanks! and thanks for taking the time to look at the buffy stuff even though you've never seen it! if i thought i'd have any luck i'd try some tw fic to make it up to you... maybe i can do icons, though? : )

Well, icons are always appreciated, but don't feel like you have to do anything special. It's a lot easier for me to read fic, even if I'm unfamiliar with the fandom, than it is for you to write it!

Btw, haven't gotten around to reading the Pushing Daisies fic you posted the other day. I've yet to see the show, but I have heard good things about it. I'll certainly comment when I get my lazy-ass around to reading them! (Because it's so much more effort to open a new tab... Seriously, my laziness astounds me sometimes.)

well i was planning on throwing in some torchwood icons with my next batch anyway, but you can choose the episode if you want. : )
my only caveat is that you pick an episode before gwen's wedding, as that's about as far i've made it in the series. but otherwise, anything goes! (<---*is amused by her bad john barrowman joke there*)
