I've given up the new med management doctor I had because... well, he wasn't very nice and that's putting it politely. When he suggested that maybe I didn't really want to care for my son and that I needed to have more "faith" in medications to work then I just about snapped. i was reading this and had a random thought.

you should go to my yoga studio. it is called the samarya center and it is wonderful. it is a non-profit and they specialize in yoga as therapy (physical/psychological etc.). there is even a yoga series called 'yoga for depression' or something like that, taught by a therapist/yoga teacher.

i'm sure you've tried yoga before, but maybe not yoga taught by a therapist who specializes in treating depression! here is a link to the website. it is the best place ever and you should think about going there. it is a non-profit and classes only cost $8!

Thanks for your advice! I really appreciate it. My hip does not do yoga well after the surgery, but the mindfulness, meditation and other aspects do interest me. I'm on a wait list for Seattle DBT for their stress reduction program and I think that would really help. Thanks for the idea!
