After Finn's sinus infection cleared, he started getting a strange fever and then broke out in a terrible rash. I took him to the doctor thinking it was a reaction to the antibiotics only to discover he had hand foot and mouth disease AGAIN. This time, Eric got it really bad in his throat with terrible blisters that lasted a week ( Read more... )

Oooh! I hate that. I work at the Y and we've had to avoid the play areas very often, with Aidan's respiratory issues.

Just a thought- a college student may be interested in those kind of hours. I worked from 2:30-5:30 (five days a week) for one of the families I nannied for. You can contact ECE teachers to get good reccomendations for nannies.

yes, actually, very glad that i asked! :) does your son get sick less now with the lesser hours? we are thinking maybe we can go on occasion and he won't get sick, but i want to see improvement first. i would say, hands down, it's his mood changes that concern me the most about him being sick regularly. that's a lot of juggling! so wait, a great dane puppy and preggers too? :)

If it makes you feel better, I still have a hard time leaving Lydia. The only people who watch her are my inlaws and she just adores them, but it took me a long time before I could feel comfortable leaving her with them-and it wasnt until she was almost 2 that I did! I am even stressing over leaving her for two days in August even though she is three and will be perfectly fine.

I hope the sickness leaves your home, I know how hard that can be to deal with

It does make me feel better. Thanks for the empathy. My inlaws are in Alabama and are wonderful with him. I wish they were closer. It seems the people I expected to be part of his life have disappeared since he has grown up and new people are now in our lives. It's hard to know who wants to be with him/watch him, but I can definitely tell who he wants to be with! :)

I hope this is the end of the sickness as well. It's been so ridiculous.
