I forgot I took these pictures a couple of months ago when I got this t.v. stand.  My grandfather made the stand many, many years ago and I just got it back from my mother and was trying to figure out where to set it when two of my cats - the boys! - decided to have a look see.

Strider is doing very, very well!  He went outside for a short time this evening, though it made me nervous. :)  But he's been whining and rushing at the door for about 5 days now.  His bandages came off a week ago and they said he was fine, but he wasn't in my book!  He hopped for a couple of days and then he just started walking on it normally ( Read more... )

Well, Strider hates his bandages but other than that he seems to be doing pretty well.  I do not like the sight of him hopping around like he has to... until I think of what could have happened to him.  Today was the first day he started bugging me to go outside so I think he must be feeling better and so that's good news.  I take him back to the ( Read more... )

My poor cat Strider broke his back foot today in three places! :(   Fortunately, I was home from work because I was sick and was able to take him right down to the vet.  I shudder to think about the pain he would have endured if he'd have had to gone all day with it broken!  My cats go in and out of the house and I'd let them out this morning and ( Read more... )

We had our first snowfall of the season today, which is pretty early for my part of the world.  I took the opportunity to introduce my cat, Strider, to the wonderful white stuff.  He'd been an indoor cat until about last May and so this was his first time in snow.  He wasn't really thrilled with the experience but he adapted pretty quickly.

Ah, cats are wonderfully strange creatures.  I know mine bring me much pleasure and amusement.  While they can bring a bit of aggravation at times, the pleasure far outweighs that.  For that I bring you Strider for your amusement.  Well, at least I was amused. :)

I'm posting more cat pictures here because I was messing around with my new camera.  Here I had four of my neices and nephews over for the weekend and did I take a single picture of them? NO!!!  Why, you ask?  I have no clue!  I even showed them my new camera and they oohed and awed over it.  *shakes head*

I got my new camera yesterday and I've been playing with it a little bit... there is a lot to learn!  I've just been doing a few things.  One thing I did learn that has nothing to do with the camera... you cannot pose cats! :)  There are a few pictures of my yard and one of each of my three cats.
