Spring!

It truly is spring here.  There is a gorgeous blue sky out right now and it's about 58 degrees and yet there are warnings for freezing temperatures tonight!  My neighbors down the street have two beautiful dogwood trees in their front yard and I had to take a picture of them today.  I love the way the pink and white intermingle... it always makes ( Read more... )

Those are gorgeous. Though I have to ask, where do you live? (Not specific, just general geographic area.) I ask because that looks like the crepe myrtle tree my dad planted in South Carolina (where we lived at the time) when I was born. In any event, it's really pretty.

I live on the eastern side of Washington State. It's actually a very dry climate with very little rainfall, but there are incredible irrigation systems here drawing water from the Columbia River and sending it here and there. Mostly the water is used by the farmers but it's also used by the cities to make them 'green'.

Here is what the area immediately outside my city looks like. Well, I can't figure out how to add a picture to a comment... I'm sure I've seen others do that! So, this little tiny user pic is what the area outside my city looks like!

It really is, isn't it? Summers are so hot here with weeks of temps in the high 90s and low 100s that spring is wonderful here!
