Barbara Michaels, Be Buried in the Rain; Isabelle Holland, Bump in the Night; Dick Francis, 2nd Wind

Three suspense novels, all of them entertaining reads, none of them in the first rank of those author's works. I'd recommend any of them as airplane reads, since they'd keep you glued to the pages, but could be abandoned without too much of a qualm when you're done. Someday there weill be a Francis book without a horse, and I will die of the shock. I more or less stopped reading him when I realized there would be no more books about my favorite character, but it's nice to know he's still working.

I read anything by Barbara Michaels and anything by Dick Francis - they are both addictions for me. I do agree, however, with your opinion of both of these - neither were their writer's best work, but still, I have to admit to enjoying both of them.
