I concluded a while ago that Americans are weird about food, and in particular have a first assumption that what people eat is the cause and cure for just about anything.

I'm not sure how this weirdness happened. I'm pretty sure it wasn't mainstream in the sixties (my earliest memories).

80% of paleolithic diets was gathered by women, tubers, seeds, fruits. those paleo people are sooo ignorant and funny.

I laughed so hard at the claim that the Atkins diet will make people burst into flame.

...Actually, the idea of someone bursting into flame from a diet would make a hilarious and err...*interesting* anime.
