It's a thing in Miyajima. They're technically wild, but have been tamed by tourists.

Those photos are exquisite.

(And a whole lot different than my father-in-law's photos of Hiroshima, two weeks after the bomb, when he and his officers were first in, walking over the site because they thought the radiation was all gone.)

yeah, what is it about fathers-in-law? My father-in-law was in the plane that surveyed the damage done immediately post-bomb. He was hanging out the window clicking away with his brownie. Staggering images.
