:( I think Stargate will live in the minds of fans for a long time yet. They had so many more stories to tell that the fans will carry it on. Who knows? Maybe we'll see it again, in the mean time, stories like what you have written will help keep it alive :)

Amen

While I did catch SGU last night (didn't realize it was the final episode) and they did a pretty dang good job with it. I also think of it as the show that killed Stargate. They had a sure thing with SGA and SG-1 on the air and they threw all our kids away for something shiny and new.

I'm still relatively new to the SGA fandom so I'm hoping like crazy that it'll be around for a long time yet.

Haha, so my mom texts me last night after SGU "They did have a happy ending. They did not make it home. Eli is going to die in two weeks if they don't fix the last sleep pod."

So I reply, "How is that a happy ending?"

Mom: "So I forgot one word. Sheesh!"

Me: "It's an important word!!!"

I stopped watching SGU after the first half of the first season, it just made me angry. I was just getting over the loss of SGA (which I didn't really start watching as a fan until after it was cancelled and didn't find out there wasn't going to be any more until I got to the last episode), I had just watched Children of Earth, and it was just too much to see my favorite universe (I chose my college major because I loved Daniel so much) sullied with such trash. I am told that it got much better after that, but I am not ready to start watching it again. Nevertheless, my parents were watching the last episode today so I sat with them and watched it, and I was the only one that knew that it was the last. Unlike Enemy at the Gate and Unending this one a had a sense of finality, and I wanted to cry. I haven't payed any attention to news about Stargate since SG-1 got cancelled, so I don't know if they have addressed this, but I really hope that they come up with another series, like Star Trek, one that will be good and have slashable ( ... )
