I caught a couple of episodes of this on the way back to the states in Jan, and it was fab! Crazy good fun, just such a shame we can't get it over here.
Also, Angsty Sparkles of Sorrow is the best phrase ever.
Trust me, if you ain't in the US, the network websites do nothing but cruelly taunt you.
I find mine on Tudou.com, (just search for Castle). It helps if you have someone (coughtlikeyourhusbandcough) who can recognize the chinese/japanese number characters so that you can work out which season they are talking about.
I totally agree with you on most points, but I'd like to point out another scenario about why they haven't dealt with the destruction of Beckett's apartment. Her character grew up fairly well off (had enough money from modeling, went to good schools, etc), however she chose to become a cop ... she seems to not be impressed by the possesions, etc that this lifestyle offered. Plus, the only possessions she really seems to care about are her father's watch and her mother's necklace ... and about the only 'angst' she experienced about the destruction of her apartment was not being able to find said father's watch. She doesn't seem to have a 'home' in the sense that most of us have ... i.e. most of us would be be devastated by all of his/her possessions being blown up. For her, her apartment is just a place to sleep and somewhere to be when not on the job. So it seems the lack of attention to this area would be rather in line with her character.

fox_c - can you access the network's website? It should have recent episodes of the show.
