Since the cottage was more or less done - they still needed some things to do on the inside and paint - this was the first time Remus was bringing Dora by to see it. They would also get a chance to start painting (after he charmed the paint so it wouldn't harm her or the babies in any way), and Remus was looking forward to this

A shiver of feeling something clicking together... the right way.
She leaned against him, hand rising up to rest on his, on her shoulder, and her voice came out not much louder than his. "Thank you... thank you, love. It... lets the sunshine in." Yeah, not TOO much by the way of compliment, but it WAS what she was seeing. It let the GOOD things in. Besides, well, it had all kind of taken her breath away, a little.
After a moment of resting so, she gently slipped away - then kinda bounced to the rocking chair and picked both pink - pink! - bears, turning towards him and hugging them close to her, near her face - which was beaming. Unmistakably. She rested her cheek against a so-soft plush ear and looked up at him, eyes bright.
"I do have the suspicion they might, sorta... like it? 'cause I most definitely do, Mr. Lupin!"

As he watched her cuddle the bears, Remus leaned against the threshold of the door and chuckled warmly under his breath as his smile grew.
He was home.
"I am very happy to hear that, because it took me hours to pick the right ones. There's also another one, a different kind, in Maisie's room and another one in Teddy's."

Nothing bad could happen with that, right?
He wrapped his arms around her waist once she approached him and leaned down for a soft kiss. He could already see the cribs, too. Where the toy chest would be placed. Where toys will probably be laying around, and their babies running around.
Merlin. Babies. It was still so hard to believe that.
"So are we still set on pink for the girls' room?" Because he had gotten a lot of pink paint. His little angels, all three of them, would have pink rooms if that made them happy. "I managed to steer Teddy away from a very bright turquoise for his; it was...blinding," he added with a small laugh. "And we still have to choose the rest of the colours. For the library, Andromeda's room, and...everything."
