TA Schedule and Other Mixed Nuts

Yesterday was almost entirely unproductive. I came home after class, passed out, and pretty much slept for sixteen hours. It seems like a terrible waste of time, but I think I needed it. Today I almost feel well-rested. It's been raining all day, though, and that makes me groggy ( Read more... )

congrats on the TA assignments. I don't know how it works in the anthro world, but in the chem world we would consider ourselves very, very lucky to have that sort of load and not complete crap with students who don't and won't care.

In this case, I'm very, very lucky because 1) most people aren't getting to TA in their own subdiscipline both semesters (a few aren't even getting to at all), and 2) most people aren't getting to TA for their own advisors. And yes, at least the Death course is a total elective, so no 'I totally don't want to be here' students. (Plus, when people ask me what course I'm TAing for, I can answer, "Oh, Death." ::grin::)

Anthropological Perspectives on Death. Yay!

I couldn't even tell you how hard I laughed at that. Imagine me falling out of my chair (it even has arms, so that's hard to do) and gasping for air. I guess it hit me just right. I'm glad you are liking your TA schedule, that has to be a relief.
