India Prep and Thoughts

Sep 25, 2005 17:20

I had this nice long post written up about all the stuff I did yesterday and thoughts behind that came from it. And then it disappeared and I am not interested in rewriting it because I kind of feel like I would come across as a jerk for one little comment I made, but I still want to get some of it off my chest.

Suffice it to say )

india, thoughts, india trip, part of my journey

I think it makes sense. You didn't sound like a jerk, just honest. I've always felt the same way about likes and dislikes. Whenever I introduce someone to my favorite band or movie or VM I'm always shocked if they don't like it. Or in chem class when people are like "this is so boring." I mean, WE BURNED A SKITTLE! It was awesome! How could they think it was boring?

Why did you burn a skittle? And what happened?

We burned it to see how it reacted. It gave off a really bright light that changed from orange to white with a little blue. While it was burning we could hear it rattling aroung in the test tube. Our teacher said one shot out like a cannon one time, so we were careful but it didn't happen in my class. It was so hot we couldn't put our hands near the test tube for awhile. I loved it. I don't see why people wouldn't.

Flaming white-hot skittles flying around? TOTALLY awesome. I may want that for a superpower of some kind.

I'm amazed when people love to do things, period. I love to sleep. That's the only thing I have a consistent passion for. But yay for congruent talents and interests.

Mm. Sleep. I've been SO lazy this weekend - probably to make up for three or four hours on average night's sleep during the week.

Heh.

No, but you enjoy your lawyer-thing. It's a part of who you are. Your life's major frame of reference.

I know! It was really kind of nice, 'cause I was feeling kind of disjointed and a little intimidated. Made me feel like I belong and had something to offer.
