Either you ship Curls to me now so he can cram some food sense into my kids. :) or I'm coming for Xmas dinner. Without my kids, of course. They can stay here and eat vile turkey with stuffing, I have no idea who'll make it!

Such a different frame of mind when thinking of Xmas dinner in the summer... I never made big summer fancy festive meals like that, it just usually doesn't happy. The possibilities are endless and the berries sound great.
You should have been with me in the supermarket this morning among the berries and the stonefruit and the mangoes - the smell was divine.
I agree with you that turkey is the most overrated meat to ever hit a table. I don't mind it in thin smoked slices, but a whole bird, dry and tasteless, is my idea of hell.
What gets me is those who still try to make the traditional turkey meal when it's 45C outside and eating is just about impossible.
