GRR! I'm definitely on your side. 45 minutes is not that long, and if she's concerned about it, she hasn't thought about the fact that for you, it's going to be 4 times that long to go to the one by her because you have to go there and back.

thank you! she's a master of turning things around and making you feel like you're the douchebag. both my real dad and my stepdad can attest to that.

but yeah, right? like if i woke up at 830-9am for work, it would be no problem at all. but my family eats REALLY late. so meeting at 7, then we'll probably leave 830 at the EARLIEST, then i have to drive 1.5 hours home? i won't get home til 10, then i have to go directly to bed. so frustrating.

How bad would it be if you told your brother you would take him to dinner another night somewhere else and just not go? I would totally do that...but then again my mom would not act like that. That would make me nuts.
