okay, so firstly...yayayayayay! congrats on your grad! at least you figured out sooner than later that you don't want to deal with high school kids. it takes a certain kind of person ( ... )

thank you!

the thought of getting old sometimes is really scary, and i guess it's each person's decision as to how they're going to spend the rest of their lives. my grandfather died years ago, and my granny kept boredom away by calling us constantly and worrying and being ... a granny. if she didn't have us to fuss over, i don't know what she'd do.

and i would love some of the tea! when we get our swap on, pack some in for me, and i'll send you some of the SUPER yum gourmet tea from my favorite place. i just got a wool order in, and i'm entertaining my brother this week, so once i'm done i'll get something made up for you. :-)

i will try to not be a hermit and go out to the teashop to get it for you. it is basically a black tea with the rasp. leaves in it, so it isn't a yucky tea. i love all green teas, most of the fruity ones, most black ones, but i loathe the mates and earl gray. blech! and once a boyfriend gave me rose tea. the grossest thing. ever. i am a loose tea gal and i am sure you know, once you go loose you can never be bagged (ha!) but that tea rocks. it really is amazing. if they give it to animals to ease labor, i know it will work on my cramps. it stops the actual uterine muscles from cramping, and it often makes the rest of me feel relaxed.

oh, also, i have one of those back massagers that you attach to your chair, you can get them cheap at tjmaxx or even target and they actually help a lot, i turn the heat on and put it flat on my bed and turn it on and it really helps. i never would have thought so, but it does. for the 40 or 50 bucks it costs (or less maybe) it does really help. i swear!

i am going through the pains myself at the mo...

Ooph, babe, I feel your pain. My period has always been crazy..been on bc since I was thirteen just to not have four week long periods (then two weeks off, then three to four more weeks on...). I'm also severely anemic, to the point where my hair falls out in the shower so bad it clogs the drain in two sessions...good thing I have INSANE amounts of hair. I actually got off birth control when my ex and I broke up, because my gyno dropped me from not having been in for a yearly (no insurance). It's taken three months, but my periods are finally getting 'normal', at least more normal for me than they have ever been. I just took the pill, though. (on that note...never take Estrostep. It's not very strong and you'll have breakthrough bleeding CONSTANTLY, and your cramps will make it feel as though your ovaries are trying to eat their way out of your body ( ... )

ugh. four weeks long would make me want to kill myself. mine WERE about 10 days long, which was just nonsense. i was anemic, too, but not to the point that i was losing clumps of hair! that's really miserable. and thanks for the advice - i'll steer away from the estrostep. the name is lamerz anyway.

"vagina bonding." best quote of 2007.

granny's cool. i just talked to her earlier because she wanted to know if my brother and i were warm. she said, "do you have the heat on?" no. it's 17 degrees outside, and we're just sitting here with the windows open like rebels. she's soooo crazy.

i talked to my cooperating teacher today and he was practically begging me to come back and take a job there. when he emailed me this morning, he was like "i have no one to talk to." awwwwwww @ old men. i gotta say, i do sorta miss it a little bit, and might give it a go for a little while. it WOULD be good experience.

hahaha, that made me laugh kind of loud at work, when I'm supposed to be working and not checking my livejournal. I blame granny!

emily, this may be presumptuous, but have you ever had your thyroid checked? my om has a thyroid that is out of control, has become anemic and has hair falling out, too. if you can go to the doctor and tell them all of the problems you are having (try to write everything down over the course of a month) and have him do a battery of tests. not to scare, it really could be that your hormones are out of wack and can be greatly improved with medication or sometimes even spefic foods...also, check out dr weil's books, the address lots of problems like that with suggestions that are easy (food, vitamins) and then when to worry...

i love your cartoony bananarchy. so cute. i mean tough.

Adding you. :) roklobster February 8 2007, 18:48:26 UTC
HI there. So I found you through the askus community when you answered someone's question about umm... what was it... making money while in school full time without the ability to have a job due to scheduling or something of that nature. Hi, I ramble. But! I liked your blog and you seem cool and you MAKE YOUR OWN YARN, which is rad (I knit, so I am impressed with the making of the yarns). Basically, you seem like decent folk and I like decent folk who have style. ;)

Right, done rambling. Just FYI, I haven't updated my LJ for a while due to... introscpection that I didn't want to share, basically. I should be coming out of that in the next couple weeks. I'll update again, I promise! ;)

Anyway, hi!

i thought i responded to you, but i guess i didn't. the first thing you should know about me is that i think i say a lot of things, but they're usually in a conversation with myself.

anyhoo, you seem pretty cool too, which is why i added you back! so get to updatin'. i should be doing that, too, but you know how it is.
