am a bit disappointed in how little I've seen reported on Die Fledermaus/The Entertainer! opening night.

Through twitter I've learnt that Coto now seems to be sanbante based on the parade order.

I've seen a photo of a very colourful bat here but not much else

That IS quite a bat/cape thing.

I hope this is pretty easy to follow and crack-tastic. I'm hoping to take my husband and friend when we're in Tokyo.

I watched the rehearsal video on youku, crack-tastic it should be.

You can probably expect the Fledermaus to be deviating a bit from the original story when it comes to Micchan and Fuu's roles but if you don't know the original story you should check it out in advance since it is pretty hard to follow even if you know the language they are singing in.

I really don't know anything about the opera - I don't know if in this case that will turn out to be a good or a bad thing, as at least I don't have any preconceptions to be ruined. And I guarantee you that however little I know about opera, the two guys I am accompanying know even less. ;)

I'm trying to avoid spoilers, mostly so I can enjoy my last week at home without being like "how much longer until I leave?" every five minutes, but from an okeio clip that was doing the Twitter rounds of Coto and Fuu singing "Glücklich ist, wer vergisst", I'm guessing Coto's Alfred is still basically Alfred but occupation changed to butler so he's of a suitable position to be wooing Adele.

The other most important thing about this show is that Eisenstein's maids pair up with Falke's underlings. Shidou Ryuu to Hishiro Yua, Seo Yuria to Kozakura Honoka, Toa Reiya to Amairo Mineri and Mao to Maaya Kiho, which is great given how over the moon Kiho-chan was about being paired with Mao for Kurohyou shinko. All the maids are in super cute pastel maid costumes, Fuu's is pink, Yua's is green, Honoka's is purple, Kiho-chan's is blue and Juri's is yellow.

I don't know if this is the information you were after, but to be honest, it should be.
