that Micchan would have a short run but it is a 3 grand theatre shows run which isn’t that bad. Especially given the shows she has gotten, Guys&Dolls is a classic, Fledermaus is an operetta which seems to have been her own wish and I’m just guessing that she has had influence on what her last show will be too (but I wouldn't have minded a couple ( Read more... )

It is not the most exciting revue especially in the chopped up official DVD version (there ought to be a law against doing this to a sayonara show) but a lot of Touko singing is always nice and I love the set up of the pair dance. I’m also (one of the few who is?) very fond of all the french songs so I enjoy this a lot more in the Sky Stage version ( Read more... )

Through twitter I've learnt that Coto now seems to be sanbante based on the parade order.

Didn't feel in the mood for a show viewing so I dug up some photos instead. The thing I find interesting is the format. I'm assuming that they are official since the bunch I got features several troupes and TCA specials. I'm guessing that they were designed for finale shots.

No, I don’t really have any interest in JCI (Junior Chamber International) but someone went to that conference in Osaka in 1962 and made a very ambitious scrapbook about it. I'm not sure if the rules of taking photographs during shows were more lax earlier or if some fans just didn't care. The picture quality varies between bad and worse (bad lighting to start with and then the fading of the paper copies) but I still think they are an interesting document of Takarazuka fan life ( Read more... )
