Ah, you must've been reading while I was editing out some of that wordiness at the beginning and end, I know how wall-o-text can be off-putting, but some bits will likely end up recycled later on.
Moving out was one of the wants Dixie could satisfy since she was all deep in her aspiration suddenly, but she's broke so her options are few :-). (No20khandout, especially for the Land kids!) She did take her chair but I've been thinking I should've left it and had her mother hire her on there.
River, bless him; he was all over that with very little prompting! He is gay, though, so he's going to have a little problem. Or a big one.
Mary does miss her family, it's mutual. She's difficult pregnant so Beulah and I surely did cheesecake her butt, to make it worth the trouble. She can't help being reminded of the one she lost and worrying about this one but having that support of people who all love her probably would've made all the difference. Let's just say Lana's not exactly Mary's ally in that house. And I'm not exactly sure

This hood is ALIVE now. Every little detail about their everyday lives feels interesting and worth the read. It always takes a while to get a feel for the simmies - also in my own game and not only when I’m reading about someone else’s. They also need to develop their interests and talents and quirks first. Now I’m hooked on the Widespot crowd though. And all the rural details - Lovely!
I must tell you again how much I like your style of writing, it so suits the hood and the storyline.
River is a really cute teenager, his mother’s looks all the way it seems. So he is gay? Why the problem, is there a shortage of gay men in Widespot? Or just a shortage of gay teenagers? I know too little about the hood (even though I always read Penny’s comments _very_ thoroughly). So Dixie and Rhett? *shudder* Can’t wait to see that disaster happen. Hope to read an update soon.

Well, do the math. Current teen boys: River, his brother Scot, David who's with Goldie, Woody who's desperately heterosexual. That's everybody. Prospective teen boy: Rocky. Who is an excellent prospect if he grows up gay, because he and River are already friends - but he's crushing on Dixie, so not much hope there. Unless Woody turns out to be bi, that's River with 0 date prospects.
I haven't been seeing townie teens of any stripe generating in the backgrounds; and even if she's got a mod allowing teen/adult interaction picking up a trucker at his age is some serious squick, so yeah, I'm thinking River's got a problem. Are there some townie teens I haven't noticed, Q?
Yeah, when I started writing that comment I didn't think about that it probably wouldn't be any townie teens. They don't seem to generate in an emptied hood. He'll just have to wait to come out until after his teens then and we'll just have to hope that he'll meet someone really special to make up for those lonely years. :)

Nope, no townie teens. Not even in townie limbo waiting to be slowly filtered in because what would they be doing there? In this out of the way place there kind of needs to be a reason. But once there's a subhood of some sort, definitely more townie variety.
Fresh-faced, newly teenified River picking up truckers? Oh no. No, no, no. Although, when he's older? Hmm...will probably depend on just how frustrated he is by then. For now, he's in basically the same situation Dixie was, although her prospects haven't improved all that much. At least, her decision-making skills haven't. I think Dixie's probably going to always be one of those who "sure knows how to pick 'em".
