I don’t do New Year’s Resolutions anymore. I would stick to it thru January if I am lucky. I used to tie myself to this artificial timetable yearly, and spend time at the end of the year castigating myself for once again abandoning the same goals.
Lose Weight (and every year, the number I needed to lose went up).

What a beautiful message and so true. I hate New Years resolutions! I am with you in that I never kept them. I think you are absolutely right that at some point you stop resolving and start doing when you are ready. I was doing really well with my fitness for a while and then I took a job with a two hour commute and that all went out the window. Six years later, I've got some pounds to lose too! I start a new job, much closer to home, on Nov. 4 and I think then the time for excuses is done! Best of luck to you on your journey!
