Akari's voice is hard to catch, but she's very abused in fanfic. I think she's genuinely perspective, and genuinely caring.

I've never liked Akari that much, but I thought you wrote her really well and in-character. The exchange between her and Akira is nice too.

^_^ The goal was for a canon portrayal. I've seen a lot of yaoi tinted ones, or romantic fights, but this was about Hikaru's two closest people coming together in genuine confusion. The problem is that they really can't communicate... they have nothing in common except Hikaru.

Wow. Your Akari is the closest to canon Akari I've seen so far. She's supportive but not intrusive, and she really does understand Hikaru.

I like how you start off with Akari reassuring Touya but end up with Touya reassuring her. It's cute to see both their insecurities and how the two of them come away from this conversation with a slightly stronger belief in Hikaru.
