Oh, cliffhanger of doom! >_< I am so very intrigued. I was also not expecting this anytime soon, so I'm very pleasantly surprised. ^_^ I love this slow descent into the maelstrom... I feel silly typing that as I'm currently in my PJ's listening to Christmas songs, but it works somehow, I think. I'll try to wait patiently for more of this and Brightly Burning because they're both pretty much fandom masterpieces to me. You still do a great job of capturing the characters.

I'm wicked bad with the cliffhanger thing. This fic comes out bimonthly, and it's been two months since I released the last part, so I'm surprised your surprised. ^_~ Expect more January.

Am working on BB, but a beta told me I had some rewriting to do on the next section before it works.

anyway...

L forced a smile to his face. She was letting him know that she'd researched into his cover. "Just fine, Misa-chan," he told her. He waved a hand toward Raito. "This is my best friend, Asahi Light."

"It's nice to meet you, Yagami-kun!" she said. "Have you known Ryuuzaki-kun for long?"

wasn't she supposed to call him Asahi? or was it meant to imply that she researched L's housemate as well?
