Thanks - I was hoping to convet a more "this is life, we'll cope together" than a fairy-tale ending.

Your stuff feels much more novelish than most, did you know? Like reading a book, not a posted fic. NICE. And thank you for not doing a 'Barbara Cartland' wedding-night (you know, everything works out perfectly, no pain, no awkwardness, just rose-petals and twittering birds and a haze of PINK everywhere. Eeeeeurgh.) Really nice bit of work!

That's a wonderful compliment. I assume that you accept the bribe, then? ^_~

I got out of reading Harlequins when I was 15. Life - and sex - is messy business.

I *definitely* accept the bribe! And it's a damn good one, too... Hm; gonna show what's happened to some of the other cast-members by now, like the Shonen Tantei and Heiji? Just curious; I mean, with Conan going off to the States like he did and then coming back and marrying his former babysitter, you just KNOW they had to have something to say about it. And Ai and Agasa and so forth... o_O

This story is done, and I don't think the "universe" has any more fics set in - I got to throw in Ran/Kaito and Ai/Shiratori, so I'm a smug fangirl.

I DO, however, have another idea I could possibly be persuaded to work with. ^_~ Right now, though, I have a bunch of Hikago plunnies to chase.

Oooh. I really, really like this. I've read other stories in which Conan was older and still loved Ran, so they tried to make it work, but your particular work seems to stand out amongst them all.

The last scene greatly amused me. When Conan said "Do you... I mean...", for one second, there was a moment when I thought that they would have a divorce. It took me another second to stop, but for that one moment, my thoughts were suspended.

The story is a great piece, and for some reason, Conan doesn't seem the same as Shinichi. You still kept some of Shinichi's shadows, but he's almost someone else (which I suspect is happening in the current Conan-verse right now: Conan is changing as his days continue). Again, marvelous work!

I didn't find the "Conan and Ran" story I was looking for, so I wrote it myself. I found it odd no one addresses the age difference, or the issue of Ran being his babysitter, or... well, there were a lot of things.

Conan and Shinichi do seem to be distinct creatures. Conan isn't so arrogantly proud - he's learned what fear is. Shinichi possesses the immortal confidence of a teenager - Conan, ironically enough, knows better.

I really love this entire story, especially the ending. Everything written is incredibly poignant. My heart went out to both Ran and Conan. ♥

Please continue writing more stories in the future. I would love to read them. =)

Thanks for commenting! Not sure if I'm going to be back in DC/MK any time soon, but I do have a couple ideas which I might toy with when time allows.

Absolutely amazing. I was looking for this yesterday!

This is a great story: measured, with a lovely pace and nicely--told. Gah... I don't know what else to say, except that I'm going to re-read the whole thing now.

It was up yesterday, honest! ^_~

I'm glad you liked this. I didn't go for HUGE DRAMA with it, so it's different than a lot of my usual.
