*coos* I love the last scene. It's just... so uncomfortable and real, and you found that place so perfectly.
I have to admit, the sudden switch to Burt's POV was very jarring since all of the story had been told in Quinn's prior to that. Oh wait I reread that scene and I'm wrong, sorry. I'm very tired and something about the way you started that scene made me think it was. Your voice for Burt is a lot more folksy than I really remember him being in the series, but my memory might be failing...
Writing Glee is hard, because the series still doesn't have a definite tone - it tries to be satirical, but it also has a grain of truth in it. Sometimes there's just no "right" way to answer. Personally, I think Burt is right to call it rape, but that doesn't mean Quinn and Kurt will reach that conclusion. Though they may... ^_~
You confused the heck out of me for a moment, and I started to reread to make sure I hadn't lost the perspective.
As for Burt's voice, I ended up studying his speech patterns quite a bit while writing We're Gonna Go Through It Together. He makes quite a few grammatical errors in his conversations with Kurt - it's a huge contrast to Kurt, who is a walking thesaurus.
LOL, I'm really sorry. I'm so very tired for some reason today. in the last hour I think I've made at least 4 typos on things I've proofread before I pressed comment on.
Did you get my comment about the postcard? Do you still want one?
Despite Burt's love of his son, he still has a lot of traditional middle America values. You knock a girl up, you do the "right thing by her." And Kurt has some of this... but Burt doesn't like the situation at all and doesn't know what to do.
Quinn is smart - she's just narrow minded. Being around Kurt is going to force a change, because Kurt doesn't fit into her preconceived ideas. And Quinn and Kurt are going to have a relationship, but it's not going to fit into a traditional label.
Kurt is probably the smartest of the Glee kids (though he sometimes does dumb things). I don't think he likes that he's going to become a father, but it's happened and he's not the type of person to back down. His relationship with Burt is influencing his beliefs and actions.
I think Goth Quinn would look like Goth Barbie - it's somehow cute and missing the point.
Right now Finn is really, really pissed about Quinn - and he didn't have time to get used to the idea of being a dad, so he wasn't as attached to it. And yes, he's beyond pissed off at Kurt (which will be addressed at a later point).
As for Terri - well, wait and see? ^_~ It falls out differently than canon, to be sure.
Burt is made of awesome! Really, I'm a med student so I have a little bit of knowledge in the "rape" area and stuff, so yeah. People tends to forget that because they think rape is only about sex, but It can be about power and humiliation and a lot of things.
EXACTLY.As for Quinn and her hormones... wait and see. ^_

I hate crossposting (takes so damn long). I usually pick a couple comms and stick to them - I might post this once it's completed, though.
