Title: Evolving Archetypes
By: aishuu
Fandoms: Princess Tutu/Utena
Length: 1,000
Note: A long, long time ago I asked for drabble prompts based on fics I've previously written on my private journal, and katharos_8 requested "Two Archetypes in Search of a Story- Fakir and Ahiru encounter another archetype from Utena on their quest."

When I give myself then it has to got to be an equal thing )

one shot, utena, two archetypes in search of a story, crossover, princess tutu

I just wanted to say that I love this very much. I've read it twice today, and it's still magical on the second reading. I love your portrayals of the characters; their knowledge of their place in their stories and the way they strive to overcome them feels very real.

(And it makes me feel like a bad Utena fan, as real life always seems to intrude upon my watchings in the middle of the Black Rose arc. One day I will make it to the end.)

Thank you! Princess Tutu and Utena are natural fits for each other, since they're both fairytales and about breaking free of the "destiny" the characters may be prescribed.

And... this fic would make more sense if you've seen the end of Utena (though I'd wager you've been spoiled).

Ok, so I've read this fic, bookmarked it, re-read it, and now I'm thinking that maybe I should leave feedback.
I like it, Utena and Princess Tutu work very well together- but it makes me want to read the previous meeting of Utena and Fakir and Ahiru. But it seems to be in your private journal- Is there a way I could read it, please? (given that I don't think you want to add someone you don't know as a friend on a private journal)

I'm glad you liked it.

If you join this community (it's open - no moderation), you'll have access to the fic. Hope you enjoy. :)
