Summary: Brooke and Sam hang out with Harrison, Carmen, and Lily.
Harrison was lying on the living room floor with Carmen, flipping through the channels. He stopped suddenly, landing on a channel. Sam and Lily enter emerge from the kitchen with popcorn and soda in hand just in time to hear the opening line “My first sexual experience... I don't even remember her name”. It was this, of course, that made Harrison choose to end his perusal of the stations and settle on Showtime's new series The Real L Word.
Brooke stood at the top of the staircase, listening to to Sam and Harrison argue below.
“Aww, come on Sam.”
“No.”
“Pleeeaase?!”
“No!”
“Listen you little h- Hey Princess!”
As usual, the entire mood in the room switched when Brooke McQueen walked into the room. Sam patted the space next to her on the couch and Harrison thanked Brooke's timely entrance.
“So, what are we watching?” Brooke takes a seat next to Sam and helped herself to a handful of popcorn from the bowl in Sam's lap.
“The Real L Word. It is about a bunch of L.A. lesbians hooking up with each other.”
At that, Sam directed a perfectly arched eyebrow in Harrison's direction. Apparently, he had been anticipating this show for a while - he has certainly read up about it.
“Oh so it is like The L Word?” She frowned at the blonde-ness of her own question. “Is this from Ilene Chaiken too?”
Sam, Lily and certainly Carmen stared slack-jawed at the lone blonde.
“What?” Brooke asked defensively “Nicole went through a stage... She was absolutely in love with Melissa Etheridge and... yea...” she trailed off awkwardly. Sam suppressed the curious jealousy that was bubbling up inside her and chose to pretend that she hadn't heard that.
Harrison broke the silence, his own curiosity overwhelming “Wait - you're saying that there is a show out there that is centred around hot fictional lesbians?!”
Sam, Lily and Brooke rolled their eyes. Carmen, however, was too disturbed by The Warrior Princess' failed whipped cream sour cream sexcapades to even try to keep up with their conversation. The gang continued to watch and - despite themselves - enjoy the trash tv.
"Ugh, whoever can't recognise that as a love worthy of marriage is insane. I mean, look at them, they are obviously committed to each other.” she paused, her nose crinkled in amused disgust “However questionable their fashion taste is, everyone deserves to express their love... But matching purple blouses? Really?"
Observing Nikki and Jill argue over a wedding budget, Lily turned slightly and whispered to Harrison “Don't Jill and Nikki remind you someone?” she looked pointedly ad Brooke and Sam who were curled up on the couch in a 'friendly' embrace. Harrison smirked "Now that is not a bad mental image".
