A while ago I watched Black Snake Moan for the first time and this got me thinking...

I keep running across movies I missed that first time around when they were in theaters and I am absolutely kicking myself for this. I keep passing up these great dramas because I think: "Oh, I'll get so bored!" OR, I find hidden gems elsewhere that I get mad ( Read more... )

I really think that the trailer for it didn't do it justice or "summarize" the way trailers are supposed to. I remember seeing it and having no clue what the movie was about other than a really malnourished-looking Christina Ricci was chained to Samuel L. Jackson's radiator by her waist.

You love Dreamcatcher, <3

And I love that grocery store scene in BSM, love it, it's one of the reasons I own that movie - CR hit all of the emotions in the confrontation perfectly, it blew my mind.

Yes. I do. I love the book, I love Beaver's inventive swearing, and I love the movie too... I didn't get a chance to see it in theaters, but my sister did-and for a solid week whenever she accomplished even the smallest thing she punched the air and said: "I Duddits!"

Christina Ricci did such amazing work with that whole movie. I looked like I'd been cutting onions for two hours by the end of it. I actually had a "I've been crying too much" headache.

I had to watch Penelope right after it to cheer up-and see Christina a little less "stricken." She really does not get enough acknowledgment for how incredible she is.

I have that one, too. XD I wish I could find the actual still shots form the photoshoot for Eli (and Til) because I would love to draw that one in the background in as much detail as possible.

Right now I'm cycling through a bunch of the HQ ones I recently found and I've got the forest shot of Hirschberg, Hugo, and Donny.

Gonna go see it for my third time tomorrow-maybe squeeze a showing of Gamer before it.

Here's a thought: crushing on Eli Roth is way healthier than crushing on RPattz. We should focus all our girly impulses on the hottest director in Hollywood.

*drools a bit*

Oooooooh...you found some lovely pics of Lt. Hicox. *drools*

I'll go for the 6th time this weekend. One more time after that and it becomes the movie I've seen most in theaters. I'm sorry, The Dark Knight, but Inglourious Basterds is more awesome than you. :-P

Yes. Let's crush on Eli. Also healthy? Crushing on a couple of the guys in Rammstein. :-D

Yeah, this movie? Never a dull moment. Literally, I was rapt during the entirety of the movie down to the end of the credits. I will admit that The Dark Knight had me snoozing at times. NOT INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS.

And to get me (and a lot of other audience members) crying within the first twenty minutes (oh, Perrier... The tear that falls messily down his cheek as he points shakily behind Landa at the floor) is a feat.

That scene in the ditch-Wicki's gorgeous voice translating for Pvt. Butz (seriously, when he says "Round about twelve" I go all twitterpated), and the way Donny comes to a stop in front of Werner...

ELI! *inappropriate gibbering*

Expect artwork. Good GOD, expect artwork, fic, and obsessive posts.

Mmmm, Richard. Oliver. Christoph. Unf. New album, guys. I know you're touring right now and I would sell my left leg for tickets to just one show, but I need new Rammstein music. The irony of your comment, btw, seeing as I wore my beat up Rammstein shirt today and my "du bist was du ist" shirt yesterday. ( ... )
