On a whim, I decided to log into LJ. I made my account exactly 14 years ago.

Every time a school shooting happens, I can't help but think of something that happened to me back in the 9th grade. At the time, I would say I was a pretty depressed and angry teenager. Facebook killed LJ.

I trashed my bearings for my new bike over the weekend. My new bearings arrived today, so I had to pull the old ones. They are pressed into the bottom bracket housing, so I rigged up this to pull out the bearing. Home Depot had everything needed in order to pull the bearing out and all the parts fit perfect sans one part that had to be dremel ( Read more... )

Inspired by Mr. Janeshek, I went through a bunch of old packrat stuff I have boxed up (not nearly as far back as gradeschool, but some high school stuff). My mother sent me the same card twice (I'm a total packrat w/ cards..) I couldn't help but laugh. This may come as a surprise to some, but there is the occasional country music song I enjoy. If it is particularly bluegrass-like and old country (not that Toby Keith horseshit), it can be quite good. Stuff similar to that heard in O' Brother Where Art Thou?, Johnny Cash, and such.
