It probably isn't much consolation, but zlana and I
discovered pretty much the same thing at the Arsenal Mall in
Watertown. Go USA. Or something.

*laughs* yeah, we joke that you can always tell the Russians (and eastern europeans) in a crowd of tourists, just by how they dress.

Although I will admit that Scottish women (we're talking over 30) aren't much better. I'll try to take some pictures.

I think that were ukranian girls in stilletos :) But I wouldn't refuse from the opinion that we definately can see Russians in a crowd of people. I live in Russia and even than can see the difference. I would call it "tradition of wearing clother".
Ukrain traditions are very close to the Russian one but sometimes they are even worse in your eyes :)

What is interesting - Russians often consider people could identify them not by their clothes but firstly by their style of behavior (shyness, timidity,..)
